Vicar's Update

Monday 6th November

It was wonderful to have JAM (our children’s group) lead our All Age Service yesterday as we thought about All Saints.  Thank you to our young people who helped lead, act, pray and host the service.  Thanks too to Morgen Edwards our Children’s Worker who put the service together and preached – well done everyone.

On Tuesday at 8pm we have our monthly Prayer Gathering – come and pray for the life and ministry of our church as well as for some of the big issues in the wider world.

On Wednesday at 11am, a Thanksgiving service for the life of Flo Barnes takes place in Church.  As a result, there will not be Daytimers or the usual Wednesday Communion.  All are welcome to the Thanksgiving service which will be followed by tea/coffee and cake.  If you can’t attend but wish to watch at home you can do so here on the livestream link.

On Saturday we have Sleeves up Saturday when we come to do some odd jobs and one off cleaning tasks at Church.  Thank you to all who have signed up but if you haven’t done so you can just turn up at anytime from 9am – 1pm.

Next Sunday is Remembrance Sunday.  There will be space for reflection at the 9am service and we will mark the national two minutes silence at 11am during the 10.30am service,

The long-awaited repairs to the church roof (following the collapse of brickwork in the summer) should start later this week and will hopefully be completed in a few weeks.

Thank you to all those who have already returned their completed Pledge Pack – if you are yet to do so can you please bring it to church by next Sunday at the latest.

Hoping you have a good week and know God's peace and His presence in all that you do.

With my love

Steve
