Vicar's Update

Monday 8th January 2024

Happy New Year - I hope that 2024 has started well for you.

Thank you to everyone who helped take down the Church Christmas decorations and Christmas Tree, and to those who carried the tree to the park to be recycled.  Your collective help was much appreciated.  Now that the decorations have been removed the Church is looking a little bare and if you would like to provide some flowers one week (maybe to celebrate a birthday, anniversary or in memory of a loved one) please do feel free to sign up on the Flower rota in the Church Foyer next to the pigeon holes.

This week most Church services and activities return to normal with Shining Stars, Teatimers and many mid-week Connect groups starting up again.  New Year is a good time to consider joining a Connect Group – do have a word with me if you want to know more.

We are now advertising for a new Youth Leader and the details are on our website.  If you know of someone who may be interested, please do pass the details on.  If you might be interested yourself and want to know more do feel free to speak to Caroline Newbold or me in the coming days.

On Saturday 3rd February there is a Women’s Day run by New Wine at Emmanuel Church in Northwood.  Caroline Newbold and Ruth Robinson are both planning to attend and would love others to join them.  Speak to one of them for more information or see here for booking details.

Have a good week and keep warm.

With my love
Steve
