Worship Night
On Sunday (25th) at 6pm we are having a hour of sung worship and prayer.  Come along to enjoy praising God together.  As the Psalmist writes Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth.  Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. (Psalm 100:1-2).

TeaTimers
This Friday (23rd) we are very pleased to announce that we have a visiting choir!  Morning Chorus, a Daytime choir based in Ealing and Hanwell will be performing for us.  Directed by Paul Ayres (also director of Questors Choir). They sing classical to pop, show tunes to international folk melodies, jazz classics to quirky comedy numbers.

We would love to have a good sized audience for them, so do come even if you are not a regular - and feel free to bring neighbours or friends.  Usual session time from 2.30 - 4, and as usual a nice array of cake too!

Steve and Caroline’s Leaving Sunday
Steve will be preaching at both services on 10th March, and this will be followed at 12.30 by a special shared lunch, to celebrate their ministry over the last 15 years. Do sign up on the list on Sunday mornings. If you would like to bring, cook or bake something, please add your name to the separate list. If you prefer not to bring anything, there will be a bowl for donations towards the cost of drinks and the items we are buying centrally.  Queries on this or anything else to do with their leaving to the Churchwardens or to Jane Maffett, jane@ststephens-ealing.org

Children's Party
On Saturday 16th March from 3pm-6pm we will be hosting our annual children's party. This year it will be suitable for 3-11 year old. This party is free and all are welcome to attend. We ask each family to bring a dish(es) to contribute to the bring and share meal. If you would like your children to attend you must sign up on our website. Full details are available on our website.

Youth Lunch
The Youth team are organising a Youth Family Lunch on Sunday 3rd March and are seeking a kind volunteer who will cook a pot of Chilli for our young people   (one of several toppings for our jacket potato lunch).   All costs reimbursed.  Please let Caroline Newbold know if you can help. caroline@ststephens-ealing.org.

St Pauls Cathedral
Caroline Newbold will be celebrating the Eucharist at St Paul's Cathedral on Monday 26th February 12:30pm.   Caroline has been a member of the pastoral team there for a number of years and acts as Duty Minister every few weeks, talking to visitors and staff and leading prayers, and this will be her last time.  All welcome, just say at the door that you have come for the service and you will not have to pay for admission!  If you would like to go sightseeing afterwards or at another time don't forget you can borrow the parish pass from the office.  St Paul's Cathedral is the patron of St Stephen's Church and the Dean will be involved in the interview process for a new vicar.

Ealing Churches Winter Night Shelter
Thanks to all who are helping to run the Night Shelter here in Church every Friday/Saturday till 23rd March. We are currently hosting 11 lovely guys. Four former guests are now settled in more permanent housing. Several more are currently seeking work and homes, having been helped by the Shelter Worker to get essential documentation, healthcare or training. Please pray for them all as they are helped to prepare for the end of Winter Night Shelter by Easter. Ongoing support will be offered to those still needing it by Marie, Shelter Worker.

Lent Appeals 2024
Please consider paying for an Easter Egg for a resident of the Marylebone Project for homeless women. Each boxed egg comes with a booklet telling the Easter story.

The appeal for humanitarian aid for Gaza, run by our Mission Partner, Amos Trust is to raise money for aid for the Al Aleh Hospital, and to the Gazan Sunbirds - a team of paralympic cyclists delivering food parcels to displaced civilians whose homes and livelihoods have been destroyed in the war.  Money raised will also go towards re-building homes demolished in the West Bank.

Please also support Sue Charlton, who is ' Walking the Wall' (some of the length of the separation wall in the West Bank) on 2nd March. She plans to walk from St. James Piccadilly from midday that Saturday back home in Ealing - approximately 8.5 miles. Please see Amos Trust for more details of #Run the Wall

See the church website for Lent Appeals and donations to either of these Appeals, or the card reader in Church on Sundays.

Parish Prayer
These are the streets in our parish we are praying for this fortnight – please do pray for all who live there and for people to come to know Jesus:
Pitshanger Lane and the Pitshanger Area
Clivedon Court (Scotch Common)

Prayer for the Week
Almighty God,
by the prayer and discipline of Lent
may we enter into the mystery of Christ’s sufferings,
and by following in his Way
come to share in his glory;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
