Curates Update

Monday 8th April 2024

It's great to be back after a week's holiday, I have managed (so far) to avoid the twins' colds and the inevitable holiday lurgy so thanks to all who have prayed! I am sure you had a wonderful time with Jane Morris yesterday and I look forward to hearing all about what God was doing with you all.

Tomorrow evening at 8pm we have our monthly Prayer Gathering at St. Stephens. This is an informal hour of prayer and worship together. Do join us as we seek God's will for us especially in this time of vacancy.

There is a long tradition of people from St. Stephen's attending the New Wine Summer Festival and this year some of us have booked to go. It runs 25th-30th July in Shepton Mallet and we would love some more people to come and enjoy the experience with us. It is selling out quite rapidly (90% tickets sold), so if you were planning to come but hadn't got round to booking yet, now is the time! I have been going every year it has run for the last 20 years and I get so much out of the teaching, meeting with God whilst worshipping with thousands of others and the opportunity to receive prayer ministry let alone the fun times around the campsite with friends chatting and enjoying getting to know each other better. The kids adore it too and their faith always takes a leap after being immersed in the New Wine environment. I cannot recommend it enough and am happy to chat with anyone who wants to know more.

This Sunday, we will be meeting as usual for our 9am and 10:30am services and thinking about 'Jesus Recognised' in the story of the disciples who met Jesus on the road to Emmaus. I look forward to seeing you there.

God bless and have a great week!

God bless,

Ruth
